***** This event is hosted by AiKhun Entertainment and Museum of Flight. This is not an event organized by SeaTAFF/TAP Seattle. We are supporting our friends by spreading the word about it. Did you miss out on this documentary during our film festival? Don’t worry, it’s back! And better yet, it’s FREE! Let’s go to the movies together and support our friends at Museum of Flight!
AiKhun Entertainment and Museum of Flight organized this FREE showing of Lost Black Cats 35th Squadron 疾風魅影-黑貓中隊 on Wed September 18, 5:30pm-7:30pm. And Director Jonathan Yang 楊佈新導演 will be there!
Location: William M. Allen Theater, The Museum of Flight
Ticket: FREE and open to the public. No RSVP required.
More info: https://www.museumofflight.org/Plan-Your-Visit/Calendar-of-Events/6062/lost-black-cats-the-35th-squadron
The film will be introduced by the Director General of TECO (Taipei Economic and Cultural Office) and followed by a Q&A session with Director Jonathan Yang.
Screening occurs after Museum hours. The Museum’s exhibits and galleries will be closed.
During the Cold War, 28 pilots of the Black Cat Squadron joined a secret mission which has a lower survival rate than Russian Roulette. Their life stories beg the unanswerable question: What makes a real hero?
Over the course of a fourteen-year mission, seven pilots lost their lives in training, and three on the mission. Another two were shot down and captured, never seeing home for more than two decades.
45 years after the last mission of the Black Cat team, the documentary speaks out the voice of this era again. It gives us a gentle reminder not to forget people who have guarded us.
Q&A with Director Jonathan Yang after the documentary screening.
Director Jonathan Yang started his career in film in 1991. He is the top director for commercial ads and music videos for Taiwan’s hottest singers. This is his first documentary, fulfilling a childhood dream of his. Fascinated by the story these veterans had to tell, he spent six long years collecting films, data, and interviewing people. Take the this chance to have a conversation with Director Yang!

Description from TYAPN as follows
Having trouble finding jobs or internships? Submitting tons of resumes but never getting any response? Look no further, come to TYAPN for all the help you need!
As international students, we definitely have it harder when it comes to finding jobs in America, and as the amount of international students increase over the years the difficulty only grows as well. Then comes the question: How can we overcome this? The answer is a well constructed resume. If done correctly, it will become the key that helps you grasp that dream job by outshining your competitors. With emphasis on special qualities and unique abilities, HR will be much more inclined to choose you!
How, though, to piece together the perfect resume is the critical skill, but don’t fret, as TYAPN is here to help! We have invited experts from various fields to provide specific advice for constructing your resume. Our Resume Workshop will also host speakers to share their resume tips and application experiences to smooth your path out. To be effective and efficient, we will have grouped discussions based on field of work as well as a dedicated Q&A session for any questions!
To top things off, we provide drinks and snacks during this workshop, so get ready for a good time while polishing out your new, shiny resume!
