[Cancelled event description]
Come celebrate the end of summer with a leisurely and scenic bike ride along the Sammamish River Trail (flat trail) in Redmond! Bring your bikes & helmets (or rent one, see below**).
Schedule:
10:30am meet at Redmond Regional Library*
11:00am wheels turning, bike along Sammamish River Trail
12/12:30pm end bike ride
After: optional lunch nearby at Redmond Town Center
*We will go over some last minute details, safety information, and trail etiquette before we set off, so please arrive on time.
Route: https://goo.gl/maps/i7qnodb2mFgaAq5g7
We will be riding the Sammamish River Trail, a multi-use trail separate from car traffic. The route is approximately 12-15 miles roundtrip, all flat. It will roughly take 1-1.5 hours to complete.
Weather: If it is raining, or wet out, we will cancel/postpone. We will post a cancellation notice on this event page if the ride is cancelled.
Safety: Please bring a helmet and any other personal safety gear (pads, gloves, etc). This is a multi-use trail so there are joggers, walkers, skaters, etc. We will follow all vehicle and trail rules and be courteous to the other trail users. On the ride, we’ll go together as a group and make sure no one gets left behind. We want to make sure everyone has a good time!
**Bikes: Bring your own bike! Make sure it is in working order (tires pumped, brakes in order, gears checked. I will have some basic tools in case we run into mechanical emergencies. If you don’t own a bike but want to join: you might be able to rent LimeBike or Jump Bike nearby; I also might be able to lend out one of my spare bikes (assuming you fit, we’d probably have to be similar height, inquire with Arthur if you are interested).
