Come paint with TAP-Seattle and explore your artistic side! We’ll be painting a beautiful twilight hued Taipei skyline.
You will get to sketch famous buildings in Taipei and arrange them to create your dream skyline (and add some holiday personal touch to it too!). We will also be presenting trivia facts about the famous architecture so that the next time you visit Taipei, you will not only recognize these landmarks but you will also be able to share interesting facts with your friends.
Canvas, brush, and paint will be provided! Bring your own apron (or paint very carefully!) There will also be a raffle (prize sponsored by OCAC). All participants will have a chance to take home the prize!
This event is family-kid friendly with a creative art activity corner for the kids (under 12)! Let us know if you are bringing a kid so we can plan accordingly. No additional fee for bringing kids but we request that you bring only one kid per paying person (over 12).
Hurry up and sign up as the capacity is limited to 25 people (excluding kids)! A waitlist will be available once the capacity is filled.
Total time: Check-in will start at 2:30pm and the instruction will start at 3pm. The total painting time is expected to be 1.5 hours.
Price: $15 early bird (until 11/29), $20 regular, NO WALK-IN ALLOWED.

A week has passed since a 6.4 magnitude quake shook the city of Hualien with aftershocks rocking Taiwan’s Eastern Coast as rescue workers continued their search for missing persons trapped inside a teetering multi-story building for more than 36 hours after the deadly earthquake. So far, the number of casualties were recorded at 16 deaths, 285 injured and one still missing.
In addition to the damaged bridges and buckled roads, hundreds of Hualien residents’ homes were destroyed with an estimated 35,000 residents were still without water.
As leaders of the Taiwanese community, we have decided to initiate a community fundraiser through GoFundMe, inviting all members to share this fundraiser and raise donations for this cause. The money raised will be donated directly to the Hualien County Government Social Assistance Fund.
All efforts and contributions are greatly appreciated in our mission to remind those affected in Taiwan that our thoughts and prayers are with them, no matter the distance.
Please also share this fundraiser with your friends on Facebook or invite them to our event page.
To donate, please visit this website: https://www.gofundme.com/tapoc-hualien-earthquake-relief
Our fundraiser will accept donations through Sunday, March 11, 2018 so that we may send the money to meet the Taiwan government’s deadline of March 18, 2018 since the GoFundMe process may take up to 5 days to complete.
Thank you in advance for your support!
