“The greatest wealth is health.” (Virgil)

“Happiness lies, first of all, in health.” (George William Curtis)

Make this new year the year you feel wealthy and happy: by being as healthy as you can be!

Feel healthier, more joyful, and more present by attending TAPS Personal and Professional Development’s Living Healthy with Tai Chi and Meditation by Ron Jergussen.

Ron began practicing Yoga in 1964 in New York at the Indian Cultural Center. Ron was initiated in early 1970 by The Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, South India. He describes the eight years’ residence he spent at the Ashram as the time that “laid the foundation of all else [in his life]”.

Ron began practicing Tai Chi in 1968 under Master William C. C. Chen of New York. He began to teach Tai Chi in 1974. Ron works in the Yang style, as passed on from the late master Yang Cheng-fu and his successor, Professor Chen Man-ch’ing – William Chen’s late master. Since 1978 Ron has been teaching Yoga and Tai Chi in the Puget Sound area.(From Ron’s website: http://www.taichiyoga-ronald.net/index.htm)At this workshop, you will: – Understand the basic principles behind tai chi – Watch a demonstration of tai chi– Practice the beginning movements of tai chi– Learn breathing, meditation, image/visualization techniques Through guided breathing and meditation exercises, you will feel more relaxed and more present. At the same time, through guided practice, you will feel energized as you learn some tai chi forms.
