Tap-SEA Presents: Day Hike at Mt Rainier

Time: Sunday, August 27, 8 AM – 6 PM
Location: Mercer Island Park and Ride, Mount Rainier

She’s only visible less than 3 months a year from Seattle, so let’s visit her and enjoy the natural scenic beauty of Mount Rainier National Park in late summer!

Join TAP-Seattle as we journey to one of the most breathtaking sights in the Pacific Northwest, 14,411 ft.-tall Mount Rainier! See the mountain up close, take in the wildflowers growing in alpine meadows, squeal in delight at the deer, bears, goats, and marmots who playfully roam around the park. Our hike this Sunday will take us on an easy stroll from Paradise, so don’t worry if you are not in top hiking shape, as this trip is definitely for EVERYONE

We will meet up on Mercer Island to coordinate carpools and head out from there. Let us know if you can drive and how many people you can take. Cost of admission and gas will be split among all attendees.

Tentative Schedule (times approximate)
8am – Meetup at Mercer Island Park & Ride
11am – Arrive at Paradise, Mount Rainier NP
3pm – Depart for Seattle
6pm – Return to Seattle (optional: dinner)
