Dear TAPS Friends,
Without the help of our dedicated board members, you and your friends, the continued success of TAPS would not be possible. So, thank you for coming out to support our events and TAPS mission in creating opportunities that promote cross cultural learning, networking, community service, and scholarships to our high school seniors.
In just three short months, the newly elected TAPS Board has worked diligently to organize several new and recurring TAPS events that we hope you have enjoyed attending. With the tremendous success of our first ever Thanksgiving Taiwanese Dinner, Movie & Jia Bun, Annual Holiday Toy Drive, Lim Jiu over happy hour at Amber, and volunteer service for FareStart – we are excited about what 2009 will bring.
2008 Joint Annual Toy Drive Recap – Together TAPS, NAAAP, and VisionShock members were able to donate to local charities IDHS, ACRS, and Interim the following –
$235 to ACRS and $235 to Interim
Toys = 246
Stuff Animals = 53
Clothes = 24 including two blankets
Gift Certificates = 13 for total of $280
